The CERN Foundation takes an innovative approach to performing cancer research that could change the organization and structure of future research efforts. The CERN Foundation is the first effort of its kind that is solely dedicated to finding new information for ependymoma, a relatively rare type of brain tumor.
The combination of philanthropic support, outstanding adult and pediatric collaboration, as well as a shared vision offer much promise to produce significant results in the future. CERN Scientists and Clinicians not only work to find a cure for ependymoma, they are also establishing a new framework for disease management and patient outcomes.
CERN initiatives are centered around the four CERN projects and include the Ependymoma Outcomes Project, development of clinical trials, facilitating and publishing new research as well as coordinating efforts with participating CERN Centers.
