ABTA Helps the CERN Foundation Promote the EO Project

The CERN Foundation is currently conducting an Ependymoma Outcomes (EO) Project to measure important quality of life issues facing adult ependymoma survivors. The American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA) has joined efforts to help reach those important ependymoma patients by featuring the CERN Foundation on their home page in the Items of Interest section and in the August edition of their monthly newsletter. This is a huge milestone for the CERN Foundation as it initiates a beneficial relationship with the ABTA and and also furthers our outreach efforts. Dr. Terri S. Armstrong, PhD, ANP-BC, FAANP has spearheaded this initiative and adds "We are extremely appreciative of the announcement of the EO Project by the ABTA. Because ependymomas are a rare tumor in adults, we don't have information on how the tumor impacts the patient and family, nor do we have data related to the various treatments people may be receiving. We hope that the EO Project will allow patients to have a voice and provide information that we can use to educate health care providers and improve patient quality of life." Thank you to our friends at the ABTA for helping make the EO Project a success!
