2017 Ependymoma Awareness Day

Patients, caregivers and medical professionals from around the world dedicated May 8, 2017, as the sixth annual Ependymoma Awareness Day!

On May 8, 2017, the CERN Foundation held the sixth annual Ependymoma Awareness Day with a release of over 700 butterflies to honor loved ones, caregivers and to increase public recognition of this rare tumor.

This year’s Ependymoma Awareness Day was held during the National Brain Tumor Society’s “Head to the Hill” event. This annual gathering of national advocates has become a powerful vehicle to ensure the voice of the brain tumor community is being heard on Capitol Hill.
