Research Interests

Dr. Xavier has a long standing interest in oncology drug discovery. During her time as a post doc in the lab of Dr. Richard Gilbertson at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, she focused her efforts on high throughput screening to reveal FDA approved agents with potential application for the treatment of supratentorial ependymoma. Continuing her research in drug discovery, Dr. Xavier trained, and later led a research group, at Eli Lilly and Company, before returning to academic oncology drug discovery and cancer research. Currently, Dr. Xavier's research focuses on novel oncology drug target validation, and the clinical implementation of precision medicine.
